Test Facilities & Laboratories

PFIFFNER laboratories covers all required routine tests on instrument transformers according the international standards and performs them in the own laboratories. The laboratories tests instrument transformers from low voltage to high voltage insulated with different mediums such as oil, SF6 or resin.

On top PFIFFNER has the knowledge and ability to perform all type and special test on instrument transformers and general high voltage tests according the relevant international standard up to Um <= 550 kV.

Routine Tests

  • AC-Test with PD-measurement up to 800 kV
  • DC-Test with PD-measurement up to 800 kV
  • Accuracy Measurement on voltage transformers and sensors up to 500 kVAC
  • Accuracy Measurement on inductive current transformers up to 50 kAAC
  • Measurement of capacitance and dielectric dissipation factor up to 700 kVAC
  • Etc.

PFIFFNER test labs are accredited according

  • ISO/IEC 17025:2017 by DAkkS (DE); SAS (CH)
  • TS EN ISO/IEC 17020:2012 by TURKAK (TR)

PFIFFNER works also according to the following product standards:

  • IEC 60270 (Partial discharge measurement)
  • IEC 60060-1 (High voltage test techniques)
  • IEC 60137 (Insulated bushings for alternating voltages  > 1000 V)
