Klovertel and Pfiffner - First 500 kV DC Divider installation and commissioning

KLOVERTEL Private Limited, New Delhi and PFIFFNER Instrument Transformers Ltd., Switzerland complete successful supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 500 kV DC Voltage Divider at the Dadri HVDC substation* of Power Grid Corporation India Limited.
The two companies achieved this remarkable feat under a challenging situation amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. During the Dadri HVDC substation shutdown, the DC divider was replaced and went smoothly into operation.
The system completed all prequalification test requirements according to IEC 61869 with additional requirements for nominal DC voltage up to 500 kV. It can be used for dividing the primary voltage into standardised, equivalent secondary voltage for metering, measuring and protection devices, which are required in the HVDC transmission line.
